The Oddworks project begins with a telescope that is far larger than its workshop. It is a playful illustration of a community build: a project people can talk about, improve and occasionally laugh at.
A reason to work together
The fictional design leaves room for several kinds of contribution, from the timber platform to the viewing deck and the path leading to it. A clear shared idea can hold many small projects together.
Keep the experiments
A useful project journal includes the ideas that did not work. Record what you tried, what changed and what someone else might build on. The process can be as interesting as the finished landmark.
